Why you should call Cornubia home!

Cornubia is a beautiful, leafy suburb in the city of Logan, just 31 kilometres south east of Brisbane’s CBD, or 25 minutes’ drive. The name Cornubia comes from the Latin for Cornwall, so that gives you a rough idea of just how beautiful this place is!

With a population of 7317, it’s a lovely, quiet place to raise a family or relax on the weekends. Cornubia offers a unique lifestyle with the protected Cornubia Forest Nature Reserve offering ample room to bushwalk or mountain bike. The homes in Cornubia are a mix of large residential and rural blocks, with several newer small subdivisions. The streets are leafy and safe, and the majority of homeowners are made up of young families, retirees, or single professionals.

Most commuters in Cornubia drive to either Brisbane or the Gold Coast, but if public transport is your thing, there is a reliable bus service. Otherwise, there’s a 10 minute drive to nearby Loganlea train station.

For families, St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School is an independent Catholic primary school, while Chisholm Catholic College is the local secondary choice. For state school options, you’ll have to venture further out to nearby Shailer Park.

For shopping options, you’re spoilt for choice in Cornubia! For everyday basics, the local Woolworths Shopping Centre has a medical centre, restaurants, café, and supermarket. For everything else, Cornubia is just a few minutes’ drive from the Hyperdome.

Buying in Cornubia

Cornubia has a median home price of $883,000 which is on par with homes in similar suburbs. The annual capital growth is 41.8% which is higher than average.
